Fire Danger
On June 14, 2019, the Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR) raised the fire danger rating in the Methow Valley Fire Danger Rating Area (FDRA) to “high.” Liberty Woodlands is now in one of the areas with the highest risk off wild fire in the state!
Burn Bans
Effective Friday, June 19, 2019, DNR has banned all burning of vegetation in the Methow Valley Fire Danger Rating Area (FDRA) because of dry conditions. Even small piles not requiring a permit are banned.
The Okanogan County commissioners will also issue a ban on all outdoor burning on Monday, June 24, 2019.
